What is the difference between mould removal and mould remediation?
Removal means taking out the growth. Remediation is the wider job, covering containment, removing affected material, cleaning, and correcting the moisture that caused it. The distinction matters because removal alone, without the moisture fix, is the version that comes back.
Does asbestos always have to be removed?
No. Asbestos that is intact, undamaged, and somewhere it will not be disturbed is often safest left in place and monitored. Removal becomes the answer when the material is deteriorating or when planned work would disturb it.
How much does this cost?
Scope drives it, so we quote after seeing the space rather than over the phone. Testing a single suspect material is inexpensive. A full attic removal is a different job from a small area of basement pipe wrap. You approve a written figure before work starts.
Can I test or clean it myself?
Cleaning a small patch of surface mould on tile is reasonable. Sampling suspect asbestos is not, because cutting or breaking the material is exactly what releases fibres. For mould on porous material like drywall or insulation, surface treatment does not reach growth inside the material.
